The shamans of Peru are worried. The wrong result in the US election could see more economic crisis, environmental destruciton and war and so 9 of 11 of them are rooting for Obama. With llama fetus’ and incense, they’re chasing away those evil spirits and Republican smear tactics.
Whereas the whole thing rather smarts of a publicity stunt (at least two major news agencies paid for footage and the cash goes a long way in Peru), it does put the relentless media nightmare of a US election into some perspective.
Let’s just hope Obama doesn’t forget who to thank come fireworks day.
