The second worst thing that can happen to after getting caught is getting through safely. Rewarded with a few thousand bucks, the prospect of working for a living will never seem the same again. You’ll always have at the back of your mind the knowledge that you could make a few months salary in the space of a few days if you chose to. With each run that you do the greater the odds mount up against you.

In the drug business people rip each other off left, right and centre. No matter how fluffy you were in the beginning, it’s likely that you’ll soon find yourself living in a world of suspicion, deceit and paranoia. Gradually you’ll come to take on those values yourself.
Even if you think you know and trust the people you’re dealing with, imagine what would happen if you were caught and offered the choice between 20 years in jail or fingering your accomplices. Can you really say that you’d go down and keep your mouth shut? Even if you’re a rare principled soul who would do that what are the odds that everyone else in the operation feels the same way?
