LSD Health and Flashbacks

By Roadjunky, Posted Nov 25, 2006

“There are three side effects of acid: enhanced long-term memory, decreased short-term memory, and I forget the third.” (Timothy Leary)

Contrary to the urban legend LSD doesn’t stay in your body forever and is in fact processed out very quickly.

However, any psychedelic opens doors in the brain that don’t always close so easily afterwards. You should definitely ration your trips so as to integrate your visions with everyday life.

LSD isn’t a substitute for a spiritual life. It can offer some clues, help you see things more clearly but your life path still needs to be walked on your own two feet.

Science can find no basis for flashbacks but the anecdotal evidence is overwhelming. Mostly you may find some nice colours coming back once in a while before you go to sleep.

Some people really do go over the edge though and you should remember that the mind is not a toy to play with. You may need it in working order to go through the rest of your life.
