The most you can say about Salinas and surrounds is that it is Very Beachy. High rise apartment blocks, lots of wealthy and elitist sports like para-gliding, jet-skiing and water-skiing dominate the bay. It is a great place to soak up the sun, with bars and discos for the adventurous. For the vibe, head over in high season (obviously Summer). But if you make it there in July, there is always the casino to keep you entertained.
