Neve Tsedek, Tel Aviv Travel, Israel

By Roadjunky, Posted Nov 09, 2006

This is one of the most expensive places to live in Tel Aviv and is the only place in south Tel Aviv that the yuppies can tolerate. It’s full of little artisan shops, health food stores and chic cafes. There are art galleries, the Suzanne Delal Dance Centre and, for some bizarre reason, a never ending flow of brides and grooms having their photos taken in the street.

The houses are as close as you find to pleasant architecture in Tel Aviv and some of them date back to the begging on this neighbourhood back in the 1880’s. Everything is tasteful and peaceful here, words you’ll rarely hear applied to Tel Aviv.

Neve Tsedek is a neighbourhood where you stroll around with nothing better to do, or perhaps on your way back from the beach. It’s one of the best places to live in Tel Aviv and no traveller should miss coming through here and wishing the entire city was like this.
