Mapusa and Panjim - Goa Guide

Mapusa is a hole and Panjim is a pit. These are the big towns of Goa and no one goes there except to buy stuff they can’t find in Chapora. You might head down there to eat some South Indian food, buy some cheap clothes on the market or maybe go to the dentist. You can also catch buses here to the rest of India.
Panjim is the capital but it has very little going for it. If the thieves get your traveler’s cheques you can drive here to get them replaced or receive money from home. From nearby Margao you can catch the weekly Rajdhani express to Delhi.
