Cardiff Travel, Wales

By Roadjunky, Posted Mar 11, 2007

The Capital of Wales and the biggest city, Cardiff is a good place to visit, with lively nightlife, and lots of places to visit like the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff Castle, and even its own Chinese district, Canton. If you do happen to like rugby, and are in town when a big game is on, the Millennium Stadium is where to see it – if you can get a ticket. If you can’t, get into one of the big pubs where you can see it on screen, and watch the locals go nuts. Big-name music acts play here too. Wales’ own Manic Street Preachers played here on 1 January 2000.

Cardiff’s role as a port means that a lot of Chinese and Indians have lived here, and there are good restaurants offering this fare.

The recently revamped marina district is pleasant to visit if the weather is good, and offers an interesting example of a refurbished British industrial port city, like Swansea or Bristol.
