Holiday Chalets at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

We're all going on a summer holiday...
Accommodation varies between the camps in Guantanamo but the classic ‘cage’ experience is still on offer: the guests are each given a joining chalet made from mesh wire where everyone can see everyone at all times – it’s like the ultimate in Big Brother experiences!
There are cameras everywhere of course and the lights are kept on all night just for the consideration of those guests who have fear of the dark.
Open to the elements you’ll experience all the wonders of Cuban wildlife, including spiders, ants and even scorpions in your cell if you’re lucky. The guards tend to crush these beneath their boots but you never know where the next one might be coming from.
Knowing that you’ll be keen to work on your tan, there is no shade whatsoever which means you’ll stay nice and warm through those summer days.
The bucket toilets are admittedly a little primitive but it’s all part of the back-to-nature theme that Guantanamo Camp holds so dear.
Best of all – there’s no rent!
