Health & Safety Conditions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

By Roadjunky, Posted Feb 19, 2007

Sadly, despite optimum conditions, certain prisoners tend to give way to depression in Guantanamo but the administration hands out Prozac quite liberally, so no need to fear.

It seems that for some, it’s never quite good enough. Free accommodation, food, fun and games with the guards and the questioners just aren’t enough for them. These attention seekers formed so called ‘pacts of suicide’ which drew rather negative publicity and did much to damage the good name of the Camp.

The American administration is as perceptive as usual on this count though and told the press that these suicide attempts were ‘manipulative self-injurious behaviours’ and even ‘an act of asymmetric warfare against us’. These acts were clearly just selfish efforts to get more luxurious chalets and treatment.

It seems for some people, things are never quite good enough.
