Whether it’s Alaska, Norway or Finland, prices are sky high so just jump on a budget flight with a backpack full of muesli bars, go and kill a seal, make yourself a suit out of the skin and bliss out for some days. After all, there’s probably no way you can afford the northern lights tours...

The only other option is to try to find really nice hosts on couchsurfing and go dumpster diving to save on costs.
