2009 Photo Contest Winner - Enter by June 30th

Win the National Geographic/Energizer photo contest and then you can die in peace.

Ok, we know that it’s hard to carry around an expensive SLR camera when you’re vagabonding across Mexico, but it’s amazing the shots you can get from even the cheapest point-and-shoot cameras these days. And after all, Road Junkies pride themselves for their eye into the world.

So, here is an opportunity to get worldwide acclaim for that great photo you captured that time you went native in the Amazon. The 3rd Annual Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest is happening now. Send in your best photos-in categories like Animals/Wildlife, Travel, and Weather-for a chance to win a National Geographic Expeditions trip for two to Greece and a feature in an upcoming issue of National Geographic magazine. Pretty sweet, eh?

National Geographic Ultimate Photo Contest

Energizer is sponsoring the contest, and since they’re sending us a lifetime supply of free batteries (we’re switching our home to run on pure battery power,) here’s their message: Energizer® Ultimate Lithium AA and AAA batteries are the world’s longest lasting batteries in high-tech devices. They last up to eight times longer than Energizer® MAX® in digital cameras (results vary by camera) – which means you can take your mind off your batteries and focus on capturing that winning photo.

Good luck! Here’s the link to the contest: National Geographic Ultimate Photo Contest.
