Travel Writing for Road Junky

If you would like to write for Road Junky please read the following:

1. We don’t pay.

2. Don’t send us a pitch, send us the article. A pitch is useless and means we have to write yet another email asking for the article.

3. Articles should be between 650 – 1500 words.

4. Photos are a bonus but should be around 100kb, not huge files that we have to convert.

5. Lonely Planet already has bland and mainstream covered – we want edgy, witty, passionate stuff that changes the way we look at the world.

6. We get around 110,000 monthly visits so it’s a good place for you to get read and of course you can include links to your own site or blog.

7. Read the content on the site before submitting to get an idea of what we’re about.

8. Include a short bio so the reader can get an idea of who wrote the piece.
